Memorial Mile Walk
The Memorial Mile Walk is a quiet, intentional mile of remembrance held before the Canton RUCK RUN 5K.
This walk takes place through the Veterans Memorial, creating space to pause, reflect, and honor the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country. Participants are invited to walk at their own pace — alone, with loved ones, or alongside fellow community members — in a moment centered on gratitude and respect.
This is not a race.
There is no timing or pressure.
It is an opportunity to remember, honor, and be present.
Volunteers will be onsite to assist elderly and disabled veterans who wish to participate, ensuring this walk is accessible, supportive, and welcoming to all.
The Memorial Mile Walk is open to veterans, families, caregivers, and community members who want to begin race day with intention and honor before the larger event begins.
