Please join us for the third annual Stand with the Band Memorial Run/Walk event, where
everyone will gather for a memorial event and a celebration of life. We are excited as this year the event
will be a little different and we will have an event that is focused completely on a memorial event and
not focused a fundraising event. Our goal is to remember and celebrate the lives of those lost so that
they are not forgotten. We will start the day at noon with an opening ceremony and a free kids fun run.
The opening ceremony will include opening comments, prayer, a moment of silence and the national
anthem. Following the opening ceremony we will have a free kids fun run. Again, this will be focused on
community, memory and a celebration of life.
Following the opening ceremony and kids’ fun run at 12:46 we will have the first annual Stand
with the Band Memorial 6K! This will be an official race with timing, shirt and medals. All runners and
walkers are welcome to participate no matter your skill level or pace. There will be official timing and
age group awards as well. The course will take us through the TV cross country course and offer a
beautiful trek through the woods and around the TV campus. The 3.72 mile/6K course will be perfect for
reflection and celebration. We look forward to continuing and building this tradition with the Tusky Valley
community.
