4th annual Walk With A Soldier Memorial Road March

Mon May 25, 2015 Perrysburg, OH 43551 US Directions

Event: 2, 5, or 9 mile road march

The 4th annual “WALK WITH A SOLDIER” Memorial Road March will be held at Ft. Meigs Memorial Battlefield on Memorial Day,Monday, May 25, 2015. Starting at 9 AM. (Check in starts at 8AM)

It will be a 2, 5 or 9 mile non-competitive road march to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Service members from all branches of the military are welcome and encouraged to complete the March in Battle uniform with at least a full camelback/ hydration system, but are challenged to wear full battle rattle (body armor) to show support for our fellow brothers and sisters overseas in harm’s way.

Civilian/Veteran participants will walk along with the service members/ veterans in appropriate attire.

Registration packets are available via email at timothy.bellville@yahoo.com and imshopping@bex.net

This event is to financially benefit the Wounded Warrior Project but also to bring awareness to the effects of Traumatic Brain injury, PTSD and Suicide prevention. These are some of the biggest concerns that our servicemen and women face today. Not all wounds are visible, and you are never alone.

The march will begin and end from Fort Meigs in Perrsyburg, Ohio, and follow the new walking trail from the fort, crossing the Maumee River, and continuing along the north bank to the Monclova corporation limit and then returning by the same route. Support will be in place for the entire route.

I would ask that you help Us spread the word and make this event as large as possible. It is open to anyone and all branches of the military and veteran organizations. We are also looking for support people to work the various stations along the route.
Thank you
MSG Timothy Bellville
