Bob Evans Family and Heroes 4K Run/Walk

Parking
⦁ Parking at the Bob Evans Farm Festival is free to all visitors. Participants may park at the startline on Canoe Livery Road until 7:45 am. the entrance will then be closed for preparation for the start of the race. Over flow parking will be in the northwest parking field (nearest the horse barns) until full. Please follow the directions of the parking attendants and State Highway Patrol on site.

Packet Pick-up
⦁ Packet pick-up (bib pick-up) will be available at the Family of Heroes tent in the Military Zone at the festival. A picture ID is required to pickup you bib for the race. All registered runners will receive a bib number that must be worn on race day. If you are not wearing your bib during the race, you will be considered a bandit runner and will be escorted off the course. The bib must be visible and worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race. Do not alter the bib in any way. Once assigned, bib numbers are non-transferable and must be worn by the registrant to whom they have been assigned. If race organizers become aware that a runner has participated in an event with a bib that is not registered to the runner, both the runner, and the person whom the bib is originally assigned to will be prohibited from participating in future Family of Heroes Marathon events

Refund Policy
⦁ Registration fees are non-refundable, even in the event of race cancellation. The only exception is for official military deployment (CED Orders). Refunds WILL NOT be given for TDY or PCS orders.

Safety on the course
⦁ For the safety and enjoyment of all event participants, the courses are restricted to registered runners/walkers, wheelchair division participants and official race personnel only. No bikes, no inline skates, no roller skates, and no wheeled vehicles (other than official Bike, EMS and Patrol Teams) will be allowed on the course. Strollers and baby joggers may not fit through the tunnel on the course. Violators will be disqualified and escorted from the course by race officials. For the safety of all, the use of headphones is discouraged. The sole responsibility of knowing and following the course rests with each athlete. No adjustments in times or results shall be made for athletes who fail to follow the proper course for any reason.

Spectators
⦁ We welcome spectators to cheer on their family and friends at the Start and Finish Line. Spectators may also gather near the camping area or in and around the university of Rio Grande.

Local weather
⦁ The local average weather temperature in Rio Grande ranges between a high of 76 and a low of 46 in the month of October. Please refer to the local newscast or an alternate weather outlet before race day.
