Race Through Space

This 9-mile loop starts at the Sun in Alton Baker Park and journeys all the way up to River Road (and back!). Reach 9 billion miles in space by biking, running, walking, or skating along the paved Solar System trail along the beautiful Willamette River discovering our sun and its planets – even dwarf planet Pluto!

Not in Lane County? Find any trail, road, path; even your treadmill will work, to complete the 9-mile return trip! Adults receive a commemorative bib, finishers certificate, and race sticker!

This 4.5-mile loop starts at the Sun in Alton Baker Park and journeys up to Uranus (and back!). Reach 4.5 billion miles in space by biking, running, walking, or skating along the paved Solar System trail along the beautiful Willamette River, discovering our sun and most of its planets. Right after finding Uranus along the path in Maurie Jacobs Park, you will make your return journey to the sun by crossing the Willamette River at the Greenway Pedestrian Bike Bridge (Valley River Center).
