Sundown Rundown
Sundown Rundown is a last-runner-standing trail run that closes out our Summer Camp weekend.
It’s an evening focused on steady effort, shared rhythm, and seeing how far you can go as the sun goes down.
Runners tackle a 1.6-ish mile trail loop and start each lap together.
The first lap has a 20-minute cutoff. After that, the cutoff gradually shortens with each lap.
All remaining runners start each lap together
You must complete the full loop before the cutoff time
Miss the cutoff, and your run for the night is complete
There’s no set distance or finish time.
The run continues lap by lap and you could run anywhere from one loop to 35+ miles, as the field naturally thins, until one runner remains.
Sundown Rundown is less about winning and more about the culmination of Summer Camp, spending an evening on the trails, and discovering what happens when you stay in it a little longer than expected.
