The Freedom Flyer

The Freedom Flyer 2-Miler is the newest addition to the Greenville Track Club racing schedule. The event takes place on Memorial Day (Monday May 29) at 8:30am in downtown Greenville. The out and back race uses the same route as the popular Run Downtown 5K, except the second mile comes down South Main Street and of course there is no third mile, making the Freedom Flyer the “fastest race in town”. The pros will finish in well under 10 minutes. The chances are good this will be your fastest race ever!

Course Features:
The total distance is 2 miles (3.22 km).
The total elevation gain is around 95’, all in the first mile. The second mile is entirely downhill.
The start/finish is on South Main Street in front of Falls Park.
The road course is suitable for strollers and baby joggers - we just ask that you start behind the runners at the start.

PACKET PICK-UP. Early packet pick up is on Saturday and Sunday, 2pm-5pm (both days), at RUN IN located at 1942 Augusta Street. Late packet pick up is at the entrance to Falls Park from 6:30am to 8:15am on Monday. LATE REGISTRATION is available on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

SWAG. Registrants receive their choice of a technical shirt or technical race singlet. Orders for the singlet will close 2 weeks prior to the race, so please sign up early if you want the singlet.

START. The race starts at 8:30am on South Main Street in front of the entrance to Falls Park.

FINISH. The finish line is on South Main Street in front of the Falls Park entrance.

POST RACE FARE consisting of bagels, cookies, fresh fruit and yogurt will be served after the race.

KIDS RUN. There will be a free kids run at 9:15 am. The 1/2 mile run will start/finsh at the same place as the 2-miler.

AWARDS will be presented at 9:30am at the awards stage on South Main Street.
