Bunny Hop 5K and Kids Fun Run Egg Hunt

The Bunny Hop 5K was created to help raise funds for Edmond Orgill Park to help maintain the park and promote more use from the local community. Orgill Golf Course and Edmond Orgill Park have have seen major improvements over the past year with more improvements planned.
The 5K Course at Edmond Orgill is a new trail that was put in to entice more people to use the Park. The course is mostly a grass trail that meanders around the east side of the park. The race start is near the parking lot to the boat ramp (this is where participants will park) in a small grove of trees near the entrance on Kerrville Rosemark.

Special prizes for Best Costume.

The Bunny Hop and Kids Run Egg Hunt will start at the same location as the 5K. With the help of the parents we will divide the kids into a 6 years of age and under and 7 years of age and older. We will start the 7 years of age and older at 4:00 pm. This course is about 1/2 mile long and the plastic eggs will be hidden in a stand of trees about 100 yards from the start. They will circle around the trees in a small field and then back to the finish line.
The 6 years of age and under will start a few minutes after the 7 years of age and under. With the help of the parents we will gather the younger folks away from the start area so we can hide the eggs in a 1/4 mile circle before we start the 6 and under kids.
The eggs are made of plastic and will have candy in some of the eggs and toys in the other eggs. We will have a few "Golden Eggs" with special prizes inside for the family.
The Kids will receive bunny ears to color and decorate before the start of their event. And also receive a small plastic bag to gather eggs in while they run. At the finish line a finisher medal will be awarded to all Kids.
