2025 Texas Autism Advocacy Day

No advocacy experience is required, and we would love to have as many attendees as possible! During legislative visits, if you are not comfortable communicating with legislators or their staff, we will assign you to a group with an appointed spokesperson.

8:45-9:00 AM Arrive and Check-In at the Capitol
9:00-11:45 AM Policy Issues & Advocacy Training
11:45-12:30 PM Walk to REJ for Lunch
2:30-12:45 PM Walk back to Capitol for Office Visits
12:45-3:15 PM Legislative Office Visits
You'll be given information and details on which offices to visit at which times!

It can take a while to walk from the parking lot and get through security, so please allow ample time for walking and parking. We recommend comfortable footwear!
We will email all registered participants with detailed information a couple of days before the event.

Parking: Inexpensive parking is available in the Capitol Visitor's Parking Garage. It is located at 1201 San Jacinto Blvd, Austin, TX 78701.

Financial assistance: We can cover the cost of registration for those requiring financial assistance. Please email Adriana at adriana@texasautismsociety.org to request a scholarship.
