Run Like Elle

Elizabeth (Elle) is a freshman at A&M Consolidated High School. As a freshman, she ran on the varsity cross county team. At the beginning of this year, she became sick with Type B flu, two types of Pneumonia, and an MRSA blood infection. Elle was life-flighted to Temple, Texas where she remained in a coma for almost six weeks. On day 40, Elizabeth finally woke up. Her strong will and determination that she has acquired from the past three years of running is what helped Elle fight through this tough time.
