CLIMB AFRICA – Virtual Climb Team

We want to welcome as many people as possible to join our CLIMB AFRICA events in support of The ACCOSCA Academy. While a limited number of climbers are allowed on the mountain and on the ground team, the Virtual Climb Team has been created so you can participate in the thrill of the ascent from your home town.

The summit of Mount Kilimanjaro stands at 19,430 feet. All Virtual Climb Team members will be challenged to walk 19,340 steps each day for 5 days to represent the number of days it will take to reach the summit. All step counts will be self-reported and self-monitored, and we encourage you to find a "climb buddy" to challenge each other to reach the 96,700 steps needed in 5 days.

Each Virtual Climb Team member is expected to raise $1,000 towards the funding of The ACCOSCA Academy (the purpose of the climb). All Virtual Climbers who reach their fundraising goal by September 15, 2022 will receive an official CLIMB AFRICA t-shirt to wear on October 6 -- Summit Day! Take a photo in your climb t-shirt and tag the climb on social media to celebrate with us all around the world!

Team members are requested to donate $25 to cover website fees and activate their individual fundraising page.
