NSHA RunWalk Challenge for Safe Haven Awareness Month

Register to run or walk a 5K, at your own pace during April, raising awareness and support for efforts to prevent infant abandonment in our country!

Each $25 registration fee (plus processing fee) includes a 2026 April RunWalk for Babies commemorative medal mailed to you at the end of the month! The top individual or team that meets or exceeds their goals by the end of the month will also receive recognition and a gift from NSHA after the event!

More Details: 

1.) Register to run or walk a 5K, at your own pace, during April, and set a fundraising goal (in any amount) to raise support for NSHA's mission to end infant abandonment in our country. (*Note: This is a fundraising event, but fundraising is not required to participate.)

Event t-shirts are available for purchase separately, and ordering one supports our mission!

2.) After you register, create a goal tracking/donation page to share with others easily. This can be done via Facebook Fundraiser, QR code, or via a link to this event website. (Instructions provided when you register.)

3.) Share NSHA's mission, social media posts, and your goal progress on your social media platforms throughout Safe Haven awareness month and complete your goal by the end of the month! 

You can also create a team and run or walk together in your community to create greater awareness! This is a fun way to raise awareness of the life-saving Safe Haven laws, the National Safe Haven Alliance's mission to end infant abandonment, and the 24/7 confidential Safe Haven hotline for parents in need: 1-888-510-BABY. 

The individual or team that meets or exceeds their goals will receive recognition from NSHA and a gift after the event!
