Foster Care 5k Run, Walk, Roll, or Stroll
Join us for the Foster Care 5k Run, Walk, Roll, or Stroll organized by Morgan Duty. The goal is to help try and raise awareness and funding for the needs of the Foster Care program in Russell County, Virginia. Russell County Department of Social Services provides support to individuals interested in becoming foster parents, as well as placing children with willing families. Currently, there are around 64 children in Foster Care in Russell County, and only 13 resource families are available.
Check-ins begin at 12:00 pm and the run will start at 1:00 pm. Water stations will be provided along the course. Families are welcome and the route is stroller-friendly. Rain or shine! Unfortunately, no refunds.
Participants will receive a T-shirt and goody bag!
