Dash To Dog St. 5K Training
This is a FREE 6 week VIRTUAL training series to prepare for the Run the Dog 5K, which will take place virtually, from Saturday September 5th through Monday September 14th. This is a great opportunity to prepare for the Run the Dog 5K, a favorite WJCC student, family and staff event! The first (100) 15 year old and under participants that confirm their completion of a 5K distance (during 9/5-9/14), will receive a special Run the Dog 5K Finisher Medal, compliments of Colonial Sports. (Medal must be picked up at the Colonial Sports Store located in the Colony Square Shopping Center 1303 Jamestown Road). Choose any location to complete the 5K and either post the finishing time here on this race registration site or email to janice.kailos@wjccschools.org a picture completing a 5K, along with your finishing time, to have it posted on the SHIP Facebook page! Pictures will be highlighted all week, starting Tuesday September 8th through Monday September 14th. *Special note * SHIP's Dash to Dog Street 5K Training Series and Colonial Sports Virtual Run the Dog 5K, are two separate events. Registration is closed for the Colonial Sports "in-person Run the Dog 5K" (which will take place Saturday 9/5 on Duke of Gloucester St.) however, registration is OPEN for Colonial Sports Virtual Run the Dog 5K which costs $35.00. You can find more info about Colonial Sports Virtual Run the Dog 5K here https://runsignup.com/Race/VA/Williamsburg/RunTheDOG . It is not necessary to register for Colonial Sports Virtual Run the Dog 5K to participate in SHIP’s Dash to Dog Street 5K Training Series and virtual 5K dates of 9/5-9/14. SHIP’s Dash to Dog Street 5K training Series is a free alternative for all to enjoy! Medals to the first (100) 15 year old & under participants to send a 5K finishing time during the dates of 9/5-9/14.
