Probie
First start group. Racers are required to wear full wildland PPE, with the exception of footwear. Racers in this category are free to wear trail shoes.

Arduous
Second group, starting ~5 minutes after the Probie Division. Racers are required to wear full wildland PPE, including appropriate boots. Additionally, racers must compete wearing a wildland backpack weighing no less than 25lbs, not including water weight.

Sawyer
Final group to start, about ~5 minutes after the Arduous division. All the same PPE and pack requirements as Arduous, plus competitors must carry a complete chainsaw weighing at least 10lbs with a min bar length of 24".
