Annual Hyak Homecoming 5K Fun Run/Walk
RACE-DAY INFORMATION
Race-day registration, participant check-in, and race-number pickup will begin at 7:00 a.m. in the Ocean Shores Convention Center parking lot. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to allow enough time to register, pick up their race number, and walk to the starting area.
RACE-DAY SCHEDULE
7:00 a.m. — Race-day registration, check-in, and race-number pickup begin
7:45 a.m. — Participants begin gathering at the starting line
7:55 a.m. — Welcome and pre-race safety briefing
8:00 a.m. — 5K Fun Run/Walk begins
10:30 a.m. — Course closes and the event concludes
START, FINISH, AND COURSE
The 5K will begin on Ocean Shores Boulevard at the city’s Main Beach Entrance. Participants will travel south along Ocean Shores Boulevard to the designated halfway turnaround point and then return north to the finish line at the Main Beach Entrance.
The course will close at 10:30 a.m. Participants remaining on the course after that time may be asked to move to the sidewalk and follow normal pedestrian rules.
PARKING AND EVENT CHECK-IN
Parking will be available near the Ocean Shores Convention Center. Registration, check-in, and race-number pickup will take place in the Convention Center parking lot. Please follow event signs and volunteer directions when arriving.
PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and ability levels. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and appropriate running or walking shoes. Please dress for the weather and bring any personal water, medication, or other items you may need.
For everyone’s safety, participants must follow the marked course and the directions of race volunteers and traffic-control personnel. Children should remain under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult.
WEATHER AND EVENT CHANGES
The Hyak Homecoming 5K is planned as a rain-or-shine event. In the event of severe weather, unsafe course conditions, or another emergency, event organizers may delay, modify, or cancel the event. Any important updates will be communicated to registered participants.

The Annual Hyak Homecoming 5K Fun Run/Walk is organized by the North Beach High School ASB. Proceeds benefit the NBHS ASB and help support student extracurricular activities, events, leadership opportunities, and other student experiences.
