Treatment Trail 5k - Milwaukee
This is the initial event for Treatment Trail 2014. Come help us with our kick-off and create so much enthusiasm people can hear us in Door County (our final destination)! We need as much energy as we can get as we set off on this 200-mile course, raising money for the Go Bo Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. All proceeds from our events will benefit those two organizations.
Registration is limited to 200 total participants. There will be day-of registration, but there is no guarantee of a T-shirt. And the T-shirts are going to be super cool. We promise. So don’t wait. Register now!
Location: Hart Park, Wauwatosa. Start/finish line near the large picnic area. Watch for signs as you enter the park. Event begins at 9:30 a.m. Park opens at 8 a.m.
Registration: Price is $25 per person, ages 10 and under are free. Participants under age 10 are encouraged to donate a new or gently used book, DVD, video game or board game to be used in resource center of CHW.
There will NOT be any registration refunds due to personal injury or cancellation of event. Why would we cancel? Don’t worry, we won’t, but sometimes things happen that are out of people’s control. But please remember, this is a fundraiser.
All participants will receive a performance style T-shirt. There will be refreshments at the start and finish lines. Awards will be presented to everyone. The award is joining this event and helping us raise funds for two incredible organizations. Thanks so much.
This is not a race. There will not be any timing chips or race bibs. If you want to time your run, please bring a watch. Walkers and strollers are welcome. We love pets as well, just not at this event. Thanks for keeping your pets at home.
Volunteers of course are always welcome. If interested in helping out, please email treatmenttrail@yahoo.com.
You are welcome to join as many of our 5k events as we you wish. You must register for at least one event online and then email us at treatmenttrail@yahoo.com and let us know which other event(s) you would like to join. Sorry, you will only get one T-shirt. Well, maybe we know some people who know some people and we can sneak you more than one if you are doing multiple events.

We will be rested and ready to continue on. So come help us get the second part of our trail underway. And this is our largest city stop outside of the starting line. We are expecting Green Bay area residents to come out and represent!!
Come help us create so much enthusiasm people can hear us in Door County (our final destination)! We need as much energy as we can get as we continue on this 200-mile course, raising money for the Go Bo Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. All proceeds from our events will benefit those two organizations.
Registration is limited to 100 total participants. There will be day-of registration, but there is no guarantee of a T-shirt. These shirts are so cool you will need to wear gloves just to hold 'em. So don’t wait. Register now!
Location: Voyageur Park, De Pere. We will use the Fox River Trail as our course. Look for signs as you enter the park for the start/finish line.
Volunteers of course are always welcome. If interested in helping out, please email treatmenttrail@yahoo.com.
You are welcome to join as many of our 5k events as we you wish. You must register for at least one event online. Then email us at treatmenttrail@yahoo.com and let us know what other event(s) you would also like to join. Sorry, you will only get one T-shirt. Well, maybe we know some people who know some people and we can sneak you more than one if you are doing multiple events.
5K schedule
June 14 - Wauwatosa
June 15 – Port Washington
June 16 – Sheboygan
June 17 – Manitowoc
June 18 – Denmark
June 20 – Green Bay
June 21 – Algoma
June 22 – Sturgeon Bay (morning) and Sister Bay (afternoon)
If interested in running the “trail” between cities, please contact John Mahnke at treatmenttrail@yahoo.com. A small group is running the entire trail and would welcome more company. Check out the mileage between locations and decide what you can do.
Please check our website at www.treatmenttrail.org about picking up your T-shirt the day before your event. We will be meeting the night before each event at a TBD location for refreshments celebrating that day’s accomplishment. We will have participant’s goodies at that location from 5-8 p.m. Check the website as we get closer to the event date for the TBD location.
If you are not able to make the night-before packet pick-up, (and miss out on all the nighttime fun) you can receive those items the day of your event 45 minutes prior to the start, or when you have completed the 5k. We think it will be much more fun getting your T-shirt the night before.
