RIDE 4 OUR FURRY FRIENDS VIRTUAL BIKE CHALLENGE (Indoor or Outdoor)

Local bike shops and other businesses are coming together to support our furry friends during the Coronavirus pandemic. During this crucial time, funds are more critical than ever to help keep operations flowing and get the needed supplies for the animals. Please consider registering for this event and/or donate to help the Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County and the Suncoast Humane Society. Proceeds from this event will be split between the two organizations. 

Virtual Challenge:  Ride 4 Our Furry Friends Virtual Bike Challenge is to ride as many miles as you can in a 30-day period. You must to send your miles to info@beachbumtiming.com as you complete them beginning on April 15, 2020.  You may send pictures of your device, app or link to the app for miles verification such as Strava, Garmin, MapMyRide or other tracking apps. Your ride can be indoor, outdoor, road, off-road, trails or ElliptiGO. Once you are registered, join our "Ride 4 Our Furry Friends" Strava club at www.strava.com/clubs/619303

Bike shops and clubs are encouraged to create bike teams.  The Team with the most miles wins a great prize and bragging rights! Miles are to be ridden individually not in groups. Remember social distancing.

This is a great opportunity to get out of the house and exercise during the COVID-19 crisis. Please follow Federal and State Coronavirus guidelines during your rides  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html. Ensure you wear all the necessary bike safety gear and always let someone know where you are riding. 

Awards will be given to the top three (3) Male/Female riders with the most miles completed in the 30-day period.  All riders receive a race Headband, race swag and online certificate.  Some lucky riders will win a raffle prize.
