What's Included?
Description
Central Florida's first Ultra Trail Running Festival is finally here! Join us for the Inaugural Wekiwa Springs Ultra 12/24 hour trail run on January 3-5th, 2025. The race will take you through 3.2 miles of the beautiful lush Wekiwa Springs trails. The course offers scenic views, wildlife spotting, and shade! We are taking over the Youth Camp~ be prepared for all of the fun! When you are not running, you can enjoy making smores by the campfire, listening to live music, or watching a movie at the amphitheater.
Race Options:
12-Hour Trail Run: Runners will start at 7:15 AM and have until 7:15 PM to run as many complete laps as possible.
24-Hour Trail Run: Runners will start at 7:30 AM and have until 7:30 AM to run as many complete laps as possible.
24- Hour Relay Teams: Teams may have up to 5 members. Teams will start at 7:40 AM and have until 7:40 AM to run as many complete laps as possible. Runners decide how many loops they want to complete. Teams may switch runners whenever and as often as your team strategy dictates. All exchanges must take place at the finish line.
Aid Station/Support Crew Area:
One aid station will be available at the start/finish line area. The aid station will have hydration, first aid, fun snacks, and electrolytes. This area will also be designated for support crew and team tents so that you have access to your personal gear and supplies for each loop.

Amenities:
All participants will receive a long-sleeved cotton shirt, wooden finisher medal, complimentary pasta dinner on Friday night, and a commemorative race metal sign to proudly display on your wall of achievements!
Individual Awards:
Awards will be given to the top 3 males and females in the 12 & 24-hour events. Awards are based on the completed lap total, not the overall pace.
Relay Team Awards:
Awards will be given to the top 3 teams. Awards are based on the completed lap total, not the overall pace.

Cabins & Camping Information
The Wekiwa Springs State Park Youth Camp offers 4-person Leader Cabins, 10-person Primitive Cabins, and primitive camping options. Cabins are for registered athletes only and are first come first serve. The primitive cabins in the North Circle are reserved for relay teams. Primitive campsites are limited (pre-reservation only) and will be located in the North Circle.
Lodging is not mandatory.

Race Format:
Form your team of five and get ready to push the limits in this thrilling 24-hour ultramarathon relay. Here's the twist: each team member can run as many loops as they like before tagging the next runner. Whether you're a seasoned ultrarunner or new to long-distance racing, this event promises an unforgettable experience.
How It Works:
Team Composition: Each team consists of 2-5 runners. Create your dream team and strategize your relay sequence. The Loop: The course features a scenic loop of 3.2 miles, designed to challenge and inspire.
Relay Rules: Runners decide how many loops they want to complete before switching runners. Switch runners whenever and as often as your team strategy dictates.
Non-Stop Action: The clock runs continuously for 24 hours. How you pace yourselves and manage your energy is up to you.
Support Crew: Teams can bring a support crew to assist with hydration, nutrition, and morale-boosting throughout the race.
Highlights:
Lodging: Cabins are included with your relay team registration. Two teams of 5 will share a primitive cabin that sleeps 10 people. Teams may request to share cabins with other teams upon request.
Scenic Course: Traverse stunning landscapes, from lush forests to open meadows, under the vast sky — day and night.
Team Spirit: The camaraderie and teamwork required make this race a unique bonding experience.
Challenge Yourself: Test your limits, find your pace, and discover new strengths within your team.
Medals and Prizes: Finisher medals for all participants, with special awards for top teams in various categories.

Meal Tickets
Meal tickets are available for pre-purchase online and are valid for all three days. Meal tickets provide you access to the Rec Hall where breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be available for the weekend. Tickets are available for purchase by friends and family.
A complimentary pasta dinner will be served at 6:00 PM on Friday evening for all participants at the race briefing.
Breakfast will be available on Saturday from 6:00-8:00 AM and on Sunday from 7:00-10:00 AM. Lunch will be available on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 PM. A Dinner will be available on Saturday from 7:00-9:00 PM.
Breakfast menu: Fruit, granola bars, oatmeal, bagels, eggs, pancakes, etc.
Lunch menu: PB&Js, sandwiches, quesadillas, chips, salty snacks, etc.
Dinner menu: Pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, etc.
