Inspired by the legacy of Bill Robinson, long time Bradenton resident, and co-founder of Fit2Run, the Runner's Superstor, the Big Bill Foundation was created with a mission to provide secondary education scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each to students who have survived or are currently battling childhood cancer. Whether it’s college, vocational training, or specialized courses, the Big Bill Foundation strives to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder the aspirations of these incredible young warriors. With over $100,000 in scholarships awarded, our races provide all funding for these scholarships, and we appreciate your ongoing support!

The Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Foundation works to support the health needs of the Lakewood Ranch area through volunteer activities. This includes fundraising to support scholarships for nursing and other health career students. The Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Foundation annually awards scholarship aid to students in nursing and other health career fields including radiology technician and respiratory therapy programs. The scholarship program originated in 2019 and since then a total of 53 scholarships have been awarded valued at over $96,000. These awards went to deserving students enrolled in college nursing programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level who had an existing affiliation with Lakewood Ranch Medical Center either through employment or clinical studies.
