Sandhill Adventure Run – Event Postponed

We regret to announce that the Sandhill adventure run has been postponed for this year due to lower-than-anticipated participation and involvement.

We appreciate everyone who showed interest, registered, volunteered, or supported the event. While we are disappointed that we will not be able to move forward this year, we believe postponing will give us the opportunity to regroup and bring the Sandhill Showdown back at a later date with an even stronger event.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Please stay tuned for future updates—we look forward to trying again and seeing everyone at the Sandhill Showdown in the future!

Here Are Your Options:

If you have already registered for the Sandhill Adventure Run, you have the option to donate your registration fee to support Scouting programs through the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council, Scouting America, rather than receiving a refund.

By choosing to donate your registration fee, your support will help the Council continue providing meaningful Scouting experiences and programs for youth throughout our communities. These funds help make opportunities possible for Scouts to learn new skills, experience the outdoors, build leadership and character, and participate in programs and activities that help them grow.

If you would like us to keep your registration fee as a donation to the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council, please let us know.

We greatly appreciate your support and understanding. Although we are disappointed that the Sandhill Showdown will not take place this year, your generosity can still help make a positive impact on Scouting and the youth we serve.

Thank you for supporting Scouting America and the Greater Tampa Bay Area Council!

We completely understand and we hope you can join us next time.
