More race details:

PACKET PICKUP:  Packet pick-up is ONLY on race day.  Please check in at least 30 minutes prior to the start time of your event.

We plan to have at least a 10 second gap between each starter depending on total number of participants.  Starters will be asked to line up based on approximate swim speed with fastest swimmers at the front of the line.  There will be room to pass a swimmer if needed.  If the swimmer behind you touches your foot, you can opt to stop at the next wall briefly to allow them to pass.  This is a courtesy and you are not required to do so.

Race start:  You will cross a mat on the deck and your race time will start.  You can opt to dive into the water from the deck, pencil dive and push off the wall, or get in slowly and start swimming once you're ready.  Warning:  your goggles may come off when diving--so you may want to practice that.

Swim finish:  There will be a ladder for you to use to climb out of the pool.  You will then walk or jog to your shoes and proceed out the gate.

For the Mini-distance, parents/guardians are allowed to accompany young children through the entire course.  Swimmers MAY use a kickboard to assist them with the swim portion.

There will be a water station on the 2 mile and 5K run courses.

Sorry, we will not be doing transfers or refunds.

Course Maps

The 5K run course is a 2-loop course heading out and back with the turnaround just before the Cooper Memorial Library entrance road.  You will exit the pool's Northeast gate and run on grass toward the back road that leads behind the gymnastics building.  You will then take the extra wide sidewalk north until it connects to the bike trail and follow that East to the the turnaround and head back.  You will do this twice.
