*Runner packet will include bib, t-shirt (if purchased), and entrance wristband for family. If you cannot make either pick up, packets will be made available at check in on the date of the event at Tradewinds Park.
EVENT CHECK IN:
Check in is at 6:00 am on the day of the event, the race will begin at 7:00 am.
POST RACE:
Family Fun Day events will begin at 8:30am and will end at 1:00pm. Family fun event activities,
including food trucks, inflatables, silent auction, raffles. Fun day events are included with
runner’s fee. Non-runners can pay an entrance fee of $10.
ABOUT CHARITY:
Soaring Butterflies for Turner Syndrome, Inc. is dedicated to providing resources and activities
for individuals affected by Turner Syndrome through recreation, education, and community
awareness through charitable contributions, donations, and fundraising events.
What is Turner Syndrome? Generally, a syndrome is a set of symptoms/features within a group
of people that often occur together. In Turner Syndrome these include arms angled away from
the body, short stature, webbing of the neck, lack of sexual development, and a low hairline at
the base of the neck. Some refer to it in the medical term of gonadal dysgenesis because one of
the main features is abnormal development of the ovaries.
RACE PROCEEDS:
Proceeds to Turner Syndrome families through recreation, education, financial assistance, and
community awareness.
