Description

Mt. Carmel is excited to host the Midtown Historic Community 5K Run/Walk Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, at 8:00 am. To support the fight against Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence throughout October, we will unite to bring awareness to the more than 290,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer and nearly twelve million people affected by intimate partner violence each year.

While journeying the 5K route, participants will enjoy a historical tour of Midtown, where markers will highlight the area's present and past businesses and historical sites. Vendors will line the path and support the cause in partnership with our sponsors - The City of Daytona Beach, The Hunt House, National Pan-Hellenic Council – Daytona Beach, Midtown Community Development Corporation (MCDC), and many more!

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Making Strides of Volusia Flagler, the Beacon Center (Domestic Violence Center for Survivors), and to fund student scholarships.
