Welcome to the 3rd Annual Monroe Cross Trail 50 Mile Ultra. Run point to point along the beautiful paved multi-use trails in Volusia County, starting from Rotary Park (902 W Park Ave) in Edgewater Florida and running 50 miles to the finish line at Central 28 Beer Company in DeBary, Florida. You will follow the East Regional Rail Trail to Deltona, hop on the Spring-to-Spring Trail from Gemini Springs in DeBary through Lake Monroe Park. Exit the park on to 17/92 over the bridge toward Wayside Park in Sanford and connect to the newly completed Riverside Walk Trail. Enjoy the beautiful shoreline of Lake Monroe until you reach your turnaround point (approximately mile 44+). Head back on 17/92 to celebrate your victory at our favorite local brewery, Central 28. There will be 5 aid stations along the course. Runners are allowed to have their own crew follow them along the course.
This is a point to point race and all participants must provide their own transportation to the start line and pickup at the finish line. No transportation will be provide by the event except in the case of medical emergency. The race starts at 6AM with a 14 hour cutoff at 8PM. All participants must carry their own hydration bottles or packs. Aid stations are spaced approximately every 8-12 miles apart and runners should be able to be self supported for at least that distance. Lights and reflective vests are required for anyone running after dark. Failure to have lights and reflective vest after dark will result in disqualification.
Crew, family, and friends are welcome to join you at the Central 28 finish line for a post race celebration. Food, drinks and beer will be available. Set up a tent, chairs or enjoy the seating inside of Central 28. Cheer on your fellow runners as they complete this 50 mile challenge.
Not up for 50 miles? Join us for a 50K or a 17K starting and finishing at Central 28 Beer Co. For more details on race course/maps, join our Facebook group.
