Description
The Southwest Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (SWFAEP) is hosting our first annual family friendly 5k run at Lakes Park at 7330 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33908 on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Proceeds will go toward a scholarship opportunity for Florida Gulf Coast University students researching water quality. Please sign-up and share with friends to help support this cause. One ticket is 35 dollars for all ages, but be sure to register soon! Prices will go up after October 31, 2021. All ages are welcome.
Participants receive an H2Whoa! performance T-shirt and finisher medal. Overall winner will receive a gift card, and top finishers in each age bracket will receive a unique medal.
The running course will feature the beautifully maintained lakes, adjacent natural forested preserve, and gardens. Bibs will include chip timing gear at finish line. Overall and age group results will be Posted with final results of the event on www.endurancesportstiming.com.
Registration closes November 5 and no tickets will be sold on race day.
Check in is race morning ONLY and will begin at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021. The race will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
Please plan to arrive early to pay for parking and check-in. A parking fee is required $1/hour or $5/day. You can find parking meters near the sidewalk next to parking. Please be sure to pay for the ample amount of time you need after your run. T-shirts are first come, first serve.
Park Rules
- The race course must be cleared of participants, signage, and drink stations by 10 a.m.
- Dogs are not allowed in this park.
Parking Fee is $1/hour or $5/day. Lee County Parking Stickers are valid at this location and may be purchased online https://webtrac.leegov.com/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/search.html or at one of the recreation centers or Terry Park. - Vehicles with a disabled veteran license plate (DAV), specific mechanical modifications for disability accommodation, and those with Florida Toll Exemption pass do not need to pay for parking.
