Starting Location: Lee County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters
Join us for a powerful community tradition supporting an incredible cause — the Law Enforcement Torch Run – Lee County, benefiting Special Olympics Florida. For the first time ever, this event is open to the public, and we invite runners, walkers, and cyclists of all levels to participate alongside local law enforcement.
Led by an official Lee County Sheriff’s Office escort, the 4.9-mile course proudly carries the Flame of Hope through the community. Participants can choose to run or bike the route, creating an inclusive and impactful experience for everyone involved.
Course Details
The course is approximately 4.9 miles with two optional drop points for participants who may not wish to complete the full distance. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office will provide transportation back to headquarters for anyone who stops early. The link for the full course is below. This is not a timed race and you will not have bibs as there are no awards, this race is about running/biking as a group with local law enforcement to support the Special Olympics.
Why We Run
100% of proceeds benefit Special Olympics Florida, supporting year-round sports training, competitions, and health programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities. By joining this event, you are helping empower athletes right here in our community.
