Run for Foster Kids

Foster Care Advisory Services is a nonprofit organization founded in 1981. Our mission is to improve the lives of neglected and abused children in our area. Like so many organizations in these uncertain times, we are scrambling to keep our organization funded so that we may continue our mission. However, there is one thing that may set us apart from many, we are 100% volunteer. There are no salaries paid to employees and neither do we employ the services of professional fund raisers. Instead we rely on the generosity of members of our board of directors, members of the community such as you to help us support the children who so desperately need our assistance.  Our primary goal is to provide financial support for children when they are first removed from the home. Often circumstances are such that when the child is first placed he or she will have no clothes or other necessities.

With the present pandemic and its resulting loss of income for many already stressed families, we fully expect to see a dramatic increase in requests for help in the coming months and years.  Unfortunately, the pandemic has forced us to cancel our major fundraising event, doubling the difficulty of meeting our obligations. 

This run is an easy way to help! For a small donation, you can walk or run and support children in foster care. You can walk or run the 5K, anytime in March, anywhere. As a thank you, we will send you an awesome t-shirt and you will be entered to win cool prizes! If you don't want to run or walk, you can also just make a tax deductible donation.
