Love is in the air!
Come out to the Wolf You Be Mine 5K run and come spread the love!
This is a relay style 5K race where runners will grab a loved one (special someone, friend, family member, or whoever) and run a little over a mile and a half before passing it off to their partner to finish off the race. For registering for the relay: It is now set up where each leg of the relay will signup separately ($30 each for a total of $60 as a pair). At registration they will be asked to create or join a team/group where they will indicate their relay and whether they will be running the 1st or 2nd leg of the race.
Now for those independent runners who want to run the full 5k, there will be an option as well.
The course is a true cross country course and will definitely be a bonding experience for you and your loved one. It consists of fields, trails, hills, and some sandy sections. The course will have volunteers throughout the course and will be marked with arrows and flags. There will be a table will bottled water before tackling the hill (mile 1).
All participants will get a medal (different medals for the relay and for the full 5K) and a t-shirt. To be guaranteed a shirt please register by January 30th. The cost for the relay will be $60 per pair and $35 for the full 5K.
This will be a timed event and results will be posted at the conclusion of the race.
We will be following Covid-19 protocols and will ask all spectators to wear a mask and for participants to wear a mask when not racing. Participants will also need to get a temperature check at packet pickup.
-7am: Gates open and packet pickup will begin.
-8:15am: Race and course instructions
-8:30am: Race begins
There will be awards for the top three individual men and women for the full 5K. There will also be awards for the top three pairs as well. These awards can be picked up after the race concludes at the finish line.
Post race activities will be dependent on what happens with the pandemic. If it is safe to do so there will be post-race activities for the runners and spectators.
American Heart Association:
Valentines Day is a day where we get to focus on the ones we love. Many families and individuals are impacted by heart disease. Along with the race we will also be fundraising for the American Heart Association.
