Hearoes Spring Sprint - Virtual 5k Run

Join us for a virtual 5k run — there will be prizes!

Hearoes for Hearing is the philanthropy of the University of Florida National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Our charity directly benefits patients in the UF Health Cochlear Implant Program by fundraising and generating awareness about hearing loss throughout the Gainesville community. This spring, we are hosting a virtual 5k run to raise money that will help purchase audiological tests, new therapy materials for habilitation and rehabilitation, and loaner equipment for both children and adult patients. 

Please join us in supporting the Cochlear Implant Program by participating in our spring sprint! Run or walk a 5k (3.1 miles) in a location of your choosing anytime between April 13th and April 20th. Race registration costs $7. Additionally, submit proof of your race route and race time for a chance to win a prize! (If you are not located in the Gainesville area, we will ship your prize to you.) The three individuals with the fastest race times will each receive a Hearoes 5k medal, in addition to the following prizes:

1st place: 2 Hearoes t-shirts + 3 Hearoes stickers

2nd place: 1 Hearoes t-shirt

3rd place: 3 Hearoes stickers

*If you are interested in potentially winning a prize, please record your 5k run using an app (RunKeeper, Strava, etc.) and take a screenshot of your race time. Email us with the screenshot of your results at ufhearoesforhearing@gmail.com or submit them via RunSignup by following these steps*
