Description
Join us in a 5k or 1 mile fun run at the River City Brewing Company while supporting Child Guidance Center. Every runner/walker will receive a shirt, medal, and goodie bag. At the end of the 5k, there will be a best/funniest hat contest. One adult will win a $100 gift card and a child under 12 will win a $50 gift card.
If you can't run or don't wan't to run, there are some great options available
You can register using the Don’t Sweat It option. You receive a shirt, medal, and goodie bag, but you don't have to show up or run. Just relax and help CGC in the process and get a medal for doing it!
You can also register to sponsor a child or adolescent to run the race. This is a great way to give someone a chance to particpate and help CGC in the process.

Registration Costs
All online registration fees are included in the amounts below
$25.00 Now through August 15th, 2017
$30.00 - August 16th, 20117 through September 2, 2017
$35.00 - September 3, 2017 through September 28, 2017
$40.00 - Day of Race - Cash, Check, or Charge - 60 Minutes to 15 Minutes prior to the Start of the race.
Race Awards
Awards will be given to the top three males and females in the following categories:
Top 3 Overall Finishers, Top 1 Masters Finishers, Age Group Finishers (Over 40), Top 3 Age Group Finishers in the following age groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 Plus
Best/Funniest Hat Contest (at end of 5k) - Adult - One $100 Gift Card / Child Under 12 - One $50 Gift Card

Race Course
The race starts and finishes at the River City Brewing Company on the Southbank Riverwalk. .
The race will be a 5K run. The race will start and finish near Friendship Fountain across from MOSH. For a map of the course click the link below.
Packet Pickup & Race Instructions
Pre-Packet Pickup: More information will be provided closer to the event.
Day-of-race Packet Pickup: Runners will pick up their bib and timing chip prior to the race at the check in area.

Chip Timing
The race will be chip timed and will be on your racing bib. Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup. All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their clothing to score in the race. Chips will NOT have to be returned post race.
