This race is to support Hailey Scherf. She is 4-years-old. A mass was found on Hailey’s kidney in late January 2015. It is a cancerous, stage IV “Wilms” tumor that has spread to her lungs and liver. She needs chemo to shrink the tumor before they operate.
Benefitting
This is Hailey Scherf, she is 4-years-old. A mass was found on Hailey’s kidney in late January 2015. It is a cancerous, stage IV “Wilms” tumor that has spread to her lungs and liver. She needs chemo to shrink the tumor before they operate. This run will be to benefit Hailey. The Orange ribbon is the symbol for kidney cancer.
Registration Costs
$20.00 for early bird registration from Feb 12 – Feb 28th, 2015
$25.00 for registration between March 1st – March 31st
$30.00 for registration between April 1st – April 17th
$40.00 Day of Race - Cash or Check Only
Race Awards
Awards will be given to the top three males and females in the following categories,
Top 3 Male & Female Overall Finishers
Top Male & Female Masters (Over 40) Finisher
Top Three finishers in each of the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over.
Race Amenities
Runners will receive a race medal and a goodie bag. There will be water stations on the course and at the finish line for the runners
Event Schedule
90 minutes to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race - Bib, Chip, and Packet Pickup
90 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race - Day of Race Registration Open
30 minutes after last finisher - Awards Ceremony
8:00am - Hope For Hailey 5km Starts
8:30am - 1mile Fun Run starts
9:15am Awards ceremony takes place
Packet Pickup & Race Instructions
Runners will pick up their bib and timing chip prior to the race at the check in area.
Race Course
The event will be held at the NEW Unity Plaza located at 220 Riverside Ave in Riverside. The race course will be on the Jacksonville Riverwalk.

Chip Timing
The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system. Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup. All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race. Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line. Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.
