Description

The Olive Branch Special 5k is a fun 5K event that will take place at Unity Plaza on the morning of March 5th.  This event will be unique because its a Christ centered and family based organization. This Special 5K is on a course that allows you to have a beautiful scenery while running or walking.

Benefitting

This race will be benefiting a non-profit called An Olive Branch, this non profit helps families and children with disabilities. The race will help fund raise different activities and programs we have started or are in the makes of starting. Please visit olivebranch12.com for more information.

Race Amenities

The first 100 runners with a paid registration will receive a shirt.    There will also be a water station set up along the course.

Race Awards

Awards will be given to the top three males and females in the following categories

Top 3 Male & Female Overall Finishers 
Top Male & Female Masters (Over 40) Finisher
Top Three finishers in each of the following age groups:  12 & Under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over.  

Race Course

The race starts and finishes at Unity Plaza in Riverside, a Life Enhancing Urban & Performance Park in the rising Jacksonville, FL riverfront neighborhood known as Brooklyn.   There will be water stations on the course and at the finish line.  For a map of the course, please click on the link below:

Event Schedule

6:30am to 7:45am - Bib, Chip, and Packet Pickup

6:30am to 7:30am - Day of Race Registration Open

8:00am - Race Start

9:00am - Awards Ceremony

 

Registration Costs

All online registration fees are included in the amounts below

$25.00 - January 4th through January 31st

$30.00 - February 1st through February 28th

$35.00 - Febuary 29th through March 4th at 3:00pm

$40.00 - Day of Race - Cash, Check or Charge - 90 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race.

Packet Pickup & Race Instructions

DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP

Participants may pickup their packets at the race during the times listed on the Event Schedule.

Chip Timing

The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system.   Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup.   All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race.  Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line.   Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.  

Race Information

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.
