Description
The Timuquana Country Club vs. The Florida Yacht Club 5km will be held on a cool Fall Friday Night running through the beautiful golf greens of Timuquana Country Club. The awards ceremony will be held overlooking the St. Johns River. This race features a course and finish that you won't see anywhere else.
Benefitting
Proceeds from the race will benefit the River Rats Swim Team 2016 season, a tradition at the Florida Yacht Club and Timuquana Country Club.
Race Registration Fees
The following race registration fees include all online processing fees.
Pirates Cove 5km
Early Registration - $30.00 through 11:59PM on 9/10/15
Day of Race Registration - $40.00 - Available only at Timuquana Country Club from 5:00pm to 6:00pm.
1 Mile Fun Run
Early Registration - Free - Registration is open through 9/10/15 until 11:59pm.
Day of Race Registration - Free - Available only at Timuquana Country Club from 5:00pm to 5:30pm.
Runner Amenities
SHIRTS:
The first 175 registrants are guaranteed to receive a cotton unisex t-shirt.
BEER & REFRESHMENTS:
Beer and refreshments will be available to registered participants after the race.
Race Awards
OVERALL AWARDS
Overall Awards will be presented as follows:
Men - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Women - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
MASTERS (Over 40)
Men - 1st Place
Women - 1st Place
AGE GROUPS - 10 YEAR INTERVALS
Age group awards will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 Plus
Runners will only receive one award: overall, masters, or an age group award. Placements for awards are based on gun time, not chip time unless otherwise noted.
FYC / TCC CLUB AWARD
The top five times of the FYC member runners and the top five times of TCC member runners will be used to determine the winner of the FYC / TCC club award.
Race Course
The run starts and finishes on the TCC lawn by the St. Johns River.
Event Schedule
DAY OF RACE EVENT SCHEDULE
5:00pm to 6:15 pm - Packet, Bib, & Chip Pickup for the 5km Run (1 Mile pickup ends at 5:45pm)
5:00pm to 6:00 pm - Day of Race Registration (Cash or Check Only) for the 5km Run (1 Mile registration ends at 5:30pm)
20 minutes to 30 minutes after the last finisher - Awards Ceremony

6:00pm - 1 Mile Fun Run
6:30pm - Pirates Cove 5km
Packet Pickup
DAY OF RACE PACKET PICKUP
All participants will be required to pickup their packets, race bibs, and timing chips (5km Only) at the race during the times listed on the Event Schedule.
Chip Timing
The 5km race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system. Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup. All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race. Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line. Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.
Race Information
Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.
