Polka Dot Run - Virtual Run

Virtual run to raise awareness about melanoma. The Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation funds research, raises awareness and educates the community about melanoma. We would love to see people participating in the 5K and showing us pictures of how they “ran” sun safe on the event Facebook page at

Online registration is $25.00 per participant open through October 1st, 2016,

Gather your friends, family, coworkers or any random person you can find and create a team to participate as a group.   Any team with 30 or more people registered to participate will receive one sunscreen dispenser with a three month supply of sunscreen (one dispenser per team).  

This race is a virtual race only. Participants may complete a 5k run on your own time between September 23rd and October 1st, anywhere on earth, and then report their times through the following link:

All virtual participants that report their time will have their time listed on the PRS Race Timing Results Page by October 7th, 2016.

Overall Awards

Overall Awards will be presented as follows:

Men - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Women - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place

Masters Awards

Masters Awards will be presented to participants over 40 years of age as follows:

Men - 1st Place
Women - 2nd Place

Age Group Awards - 5 Year Intervals

Age group awards will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 Plus

Awards will be mailed to participants following the conclusion of the race. You should expect to receive your award in the mail by November 1, 2016.  

This is a virtual race and fees are non-refundable.  In the event you are unable to participate after you register, please consider it a donation to a good cause.

Virtual Race Bib

A virtual bib will be emailed to all participants.

Sunscreen

All participants will receive a sunscreen sample which will be mailed after the completion of the race.
