Description

March is brain injury awareness month and in honor of traumatic brain injury survivors we are having our first ever Tony's Run and need your support for survivors and caregivers to "Live On" the best they can. Every year in Florida 200,000 suffer a brain injury of some kind.

Registration Costs

All online registration fees are included in the amounts below

$20.00 - through Feb 15

$25.00 - Feb 16 through Mar 1

$30.00 - Mar 2 through Mar 14

$35.00 - Mar 15 through March 27

$40.00 - Day of Race - Cash, Check or Charge - 60 minutes to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race.

Race Awards

Awards will be given to the top three males and females in the following categories:

Top 3 Overall Finishers, Top 1 Masters Finishers, Age Group Finishers (Over 40), Top 3 Age Group Finishers in the following age groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 Plus  

Race Amenities

Runners will receive a custom shirt, medals, and gift card for top 3 overall.

There will be MY GYM doing activities with the children and several other vendors who will be offering great prizes in raffles. SMASHBURGER will also be selling meals and $1 for each meal goes to our charity. Here is a list of some of the great prizes:

Race Course

The race starts at Windsor Park off of Hodges Blvd.



Event Schedule

90 minutes to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race - Bib, Chip, and Packet Pickup

90 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race - Day of Race Registration Open

30 minutes after last finisher - Awards Ceremony

5:00pm - Race Start 5km start time

6:00pm - 1 mile

Packet Pickup & Race Instructions

Runners will pick up their bib and timing chip prior to the race at the check in area.

Chip Timing

The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system.   Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup.   All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race.  Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line.   Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.

You can "Live On" after a Traumatic Brain Injury

Join us in our first annual run for brain injury awareness.

Over 210,000 Floridians have a brain injury each year, and Tony Meduri was one of them. Tony was a retired police officer of 32 years when he was hit by a drunk driver and suffered a TBI and could no longer live a normal life or return home. His traumatic and anoxic brain injury left him in need of 24/7 care.

TONY"S STORY:
An italian-american ,born in Reggio, Calabria in 1947, Tony came to the USA when he was 9 yrs old with hopes and dreams of fitting in and living the american dream. He and his mother settled in Paulsboro, NJ . Tony's life was never easy, at 17 yrs old he received his high school diploma in the hospital after breaking his neck & was told he would never walk again.....
