Description

Join us in wonderful Riverbend Park for our annual Green Run - our race to save the environment and empower a cleaner brighter future! Compete in a 5k or 1 mile race (run or walk)! Enjoy a nature's Treasure seek that any participant may explore after the 5K or 1 mile race. The nature's Treasure seek course offers interesting information about our environment. Participants search for information stations and put together a clue upon completion.

Don’t miss out on all the fun! The Green Run is surrounded by all the beauty of the Riverbend Park ecosystem.. A naturalist will be presenting information and a few live animals after the races! Free face paintings will be available by Sunshine Painters.

The Green Run is presented by the Partnership for Environmental Education (PFEE), an all volunteer nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide vital resources to the Jupiter Environmental Research & Field Studies Academy (JERFSA). JERFSA is a stellar 4 year public high school environmental science "choice program" open to students in Palm Beach County. JERFSA has been preparing our next generation of leaders in environmental science since 1993.

Through their participation in the JERFSA program, students are continually giving back to our community on many different immediate levels from their involvement in marine life surveying, to the reintroduction of native plant species, to the construction of a wetlands project. In addition, students are also individually required to provide extensive community service hours over their four years in the program.

Your support is essential to the JERFSA program. We look forward to seeing you at Riverbend Park!

REUSE - extends the life of items via continued or alternate use

REPURPOSE - gives an item a new functionality through imaginative transformation

5K Green Run / Walk

All ages are encouraged to run or walk this 5K and enjoy the scenic course!

Top runners will be recognized with many age group categories (see awards section for details).

All 5K participants may explore the nature's Treasure seek course after their run.

1 Mile Nature Run / Walk

All ages are encouraged to participate in the 1 Mile Nature Run / Walk!

Top runners and categories 10 and under will be recognized (see age group awards).

1 Mile runners can compete in the 1Mile Nature run on the Crushed Coral course and then explore the nature's Treasure seek (~1 mile).

1 Mile walkers can choose to do the Crushed Coral course or the nature's Treasures seek (~1mile) or both.

(Crushed Coral course must be done first.)

Virtual Green Run

Shirts will be made available for pick up for virtual runners!

Pick up location is at Jupiter High School during packet pick up times (see below).

Awards

5K Race 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Male / Female overall finishers.

Age group awards, 3 deep, Male / Female: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, …, 85-89, 90+

1M Race 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Male / Female overall finishers.

Age group awards 3 deep, Male / Female: 7 and under, 8-10.

Finisher Medal - all participants.

Packet Pickup

Packet pick up will take place Friday March 6, 2025.

Times and location will be announced.
