Course Description

The race starts at the Shingle Creek Regional Park on Babb Road on the way to Shingle Creek Trail (SCT). Runners will experience a beautiful scenic view of nature as they pass over Shingle Creek on the boardwalk. SCT continues as a combination of a paved path and bridges as it winds towards the US Highway 192 underpass, where canoers are often seen leaving their launching points at "The Paddling Center". The turnaround point is on the southern boardwalk with runners returning on the same route to Shingle Creek Regional Park.

What better way to celebrate the ASFPM Conference with a race through the Shingle Creek floodplain, showcasing open space preservation and natural and beneficial functions of floodplains.
