*** NOTICE *** - Due to not meeting the minimum number of entrants, the 5k has been cancelled.
Come to beautiful Holloway Park in South Lakeland to run a 5k, off road on the trails. Supporting the Arts and Enjoying nature makes for an enriching experience for all. Whether this is your first time running a 5K or you are a seasoned runner, you will enjoy the enthusiasm and excitement of the George Jenkins High School Band- Band on the Run 5k.
Over a decade ago, many of the "elective" classes and clubs in Florida Schools started receiving fewer and fewer percentages of the annual budgets. Most of the cost for a student to excel in the band is paid for by the parents. We count on fundraising to ensure the students are able to create a Marching Halftime Show and Concerts that they can be proud of. They also participate in various competitions and performances that push them to strive for excellence.
