Race Day Information
Very important information to make race day "run" smoothly!
WICKHAM PARK - PAVILION #1
2500 Parkway Dr, Melbourne, FL 32935
Wickham Park is our gracious host for the run again. Please respect the park rules and leave the park cleaner than you found it, so we can come back again next year! Specifically, they have asked us to remind all participants - NO GLASS IN THE PARK. Please do not bring any glass bottles with you to the park. Plastic and cans are fine. Dogs on short leashes are okay, so feel free to bring Fido. Here is a link to Wickham Park FAQ if you have any additional questions.
PARKING
Wickham Park will likely be busy since this is an afternoon race. You can park anywhere that you find a spot. Also, we have some additional grass parking that is available. Drive back to Pavilion #1 and race volunteers will direct you where to go.
COURSE MAP
The course map is posted below.
Check out the course ahead of time. It weaves throughout Wickham Park to hit all the refreshment stations with minimal runner overlap. It may look like we were drunk when we designed it , but don't worry, we will have plenty of volunteers to guide you along the way!
ID CHECK
Please do not forget your ID!
All participants must check in with an ID if they want to drink beer. Those 21 y/o and up with proper ID will receive a wrist band. Anyone under 21 y/o or anyone who does not provide a proper ID will have their hands marked with a black "X". We don't care if you are 80 years old, you must show valid ID to receive a wristband.
NO ID, NO WRISTBAND, NO BEER, NO EXCEPTIONS
ID CHECK DEADLINE 5:50 PM
You must get your ID checked by 5:50 PM so we can start to pour the beers for the starting toast and the race can begin on time.
DRINKING ON THE COURSE
It is very important that while on the race course you only consume the beer in the designated refreshment station. You cannot leave the refreshment station with your beer. Each refreshment station we will provide a security volunteer who will confirm that all who enter the pavilion have a race bib and only those with wristbands will be handed a beer. Only one beer per person at each station. Another volunteer will make sure that you do not leave the pavilion with the beer.
RAFFLES
We are currently working on some great raffle items for you!
Also, at the run we will be raffling off items to random bib numbers during the awards ceremony, so stick around and you might get lucky. Must be present to win.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
It's summertime in Florida, it might rain. We promise you won't melt! Only ice melts and we have coolers :) Rain or shine we are running. The refreshment stations are all covered so your beer is protected and the rain will just push you to get to the next station a little faster. Sorry, no refunds.
DRINK RESPONSIBLY
Participants will consume approximately 2 beers along the race course. Please drink responsibly and know your limits. You do not have to drink to participate. Water and Gatorade are available. It will be hot, please hydrate before, during and after the race with water.
Make sure you also designate a driver to make sure you get home safely. If you need a taxi, please let a volunteer know.
AWARDS
This is a fun run and we think you are all amazing, so everyone gets a finisher medal!
The race is also timed and we will be awarding prizes to the Top 3 Male/Female overall finishers, Top 3 Male/Female age division finishers, Top Masters Male/Female, and Top 3 Teams.
Age Divisions - these are modified from what you may have seen at other races. We made these groupings based on our past participation levels.
Under 21, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
