Description

Join us for a 1-mile loop fun run/walk through Historic Field Manor! Commemorating the 151st anniversary of the Field family settling on Merritt Island, our fun run will transport participants back to the 1800s as they venture down our driveway surrounded by citrus groves. Participants may run the course loop as many times as they wish before the course closes at 9:15. Entry is $25 and includes a t-shirt and post-race food and fun. Event proceeds benefit Field Manor, Merritt Island's 19th Century Historic Waterfront Museum and Grove. Please note that much of the event takes place on a dirt driveway/trail and therefore we strongly encourage no strollers.

About Field Manor

The mission of Field Manor Foundation is to educate Brevard County residents and visitors about the agricultural and social history of Field Manor, through its preservation and operation, educational programming, and museum collections.

Field Manor Foundation operates Field Manor, a property listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1997. We have been open to the public for historic home and grove tours and field trips since late 2014, and regularly offer community events. Field Manor Foundation's target initiatives revolve around agriculture and education. Since its inception, Field Manor Foundation completed a years-long restoration of the historic homestead structure dating to the 1880s--removing modern alterations and additions. The Foundation has also begun a multi-year project of replanting around 90% of the property's 45 acre grove. Field Manor utilizes the historic homestead and surrounding groves to educate its guests about the significance of the Field family and their contribution to Florida citrus. Visit us during the week between 9am and 4pm.
