Description
Let's Gain STEAM and hit the pavement together!
Join The Techsplore Foundation in its first virtual 5K to raise funds for 20 Miami-area children to be able to attend a STEAM summer camp at Minds of Tomorrow, Miami’s newest creative tech and Maker hub for children. As the Summer approaches many kids have no tools or resources to keep their minds engaged while out of class. As part of our commitment to our community, we've set out to provide access to lower-income children to a safe summer camp environment where they can learn about robotics, arts & crafts, and many other Maker activities. The funds raised during this 5K race event will go towards making a child's Summer memorable and constructive!
Participants are invited to participate by donating a tax-deductible entry fee of $25 or more. A commemorative medal and T-shirt designed by Miami's Centner Academy NJHS will also available (follow our Instagram page @techsplorefoundation for the unveiling of this year's medal and T-shirt art design)
During the week-long event we will also be partnering with Sneaker Impact for the collection of used sneakers to support families in developing countries. Start gathering your gently used sneakers and stay tuned to your email for updates on where you can drop them off. For more information on Sneaker Impact, please visit their Instagram for more information.
