Description
Join us on Saturday, September 10th in the Jennings State Forest on the Pioneer Trail in Middleburg,Florida for the Section 4 September Sufferfest presented by Runners 4 Recovery. We will be offering 4 distances; 12K, 24k, 36K & 50k with each one will be run on a 7.5 mile loop ( the 50k will have a short .5 mile out and back after the last loop) of the beautiful and challenging SECTION 4 of the Pioneer Trail. Event will be professionally chip timed by Second Wind Timing. Splits will be provided for each lap on the course. There will be 2 well stocked aid stations and easy access to your vehicle for the 24k / 36k/ and 50k runners. This is also a cupless race so you will need to bring your own handheld water bottle or hydration vest and our aid station volunteers will fill it up for you.

Course Description
This is a 7.5 mile loop course that starts and finishes at Dunns Farm Trailhead, first .9 miles are flat and scenic on the Palmetto forest section, the first aid station will be located at the end of this section just prior to entering SECTION 4. Section 4 is another 2.5 miles that traverses Black Creek with scenic bluffs/overlooks and the most elevation loss/gain of any section of the pioneer trail ( approx 400-500 ft ). After exiting section 4 there will be another aid/water station before a quick out and back 1.4 miles on the newest section 5 before heading back to the 2.5 mile flat and beautiful Cross Cut section. Time cut offs are 3 hrs for 12k, 6 hrs for 24k, and 9 hrs for 36k and 11 hrs for the 50k.
