SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
7:30 AM – Day of pick-up / registration
8:15 AM – COLOR FUN PARTY
8:30 AM – Race begin
There will be 3 color stations throughout the course. This is where you’ll be blasted with a variety of colors. As with any substance, you’ll want to keep it out of your eyes and mouth. Many of our runners choose to where glasses or protective eyewear to protect their eyes and a bandanna to keep the color out of their mouths. The color we use is made in the USA and is 100% safe.
Do not stop in the color stations. This will create a bottleneck for runners behind you. Don’t worry there will be plenty of color throughout the course and at the finish line party.
Color FUN Party
At the before the race we’ll have a color throw. This is where you’ll want to use your color pack! Extra color packs will be available for sale but they are first-come, first-serve $5.00 each.
After crossing the finish line, please clear the finish line area so you don’t block other runners coming through the finish line. There will be water available for you at the finish line.
WALKING / RUNNING / DANCING / SKIPPING
We encourage dancing and skipping especially at the finish line party.
If you decide to walk, be respectful of those behind you that may want to pass. In other words, don’t block the course.
Water and juice will be provided at the finish line area only!
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting color on, the color comes out for the most part, but that’s not a guarantee. For individuals with light colored hair worried about the color not coming out should use a leave in conditioner, or use a light oil (coconut oil or olive oil) in your hair. Some of the colors can take a few days to fully wash out of your hair, particularly if you have bleached blonde hair.
We recommend bringing something to protect your car for the ride home. A towel or garbage bag to sit on will do the trick and will prevent your car from getting as colorful as you.
The sooner you clean up, the easier the color comes off. But before jumping in the shower, dust off as much of the dry powder as possible. You can try adding a little baking soda to your body wash for those areas where the color is a little tough to clean.
The event will take place rain or shine. Course adjustments will be made as necessary to provide the best experience possible for all participants.
