This Virtual 5k run is in remembrance for all fallen Brother and Sister in Law Enforcement Officers all around this great nation. The Month of May is always recognized as a time set aside to honor those Fallen Officer. On a local level the Fraternal Order of Police Florida Lodge 66, like all lodges throughout the U.S. strive to give back to our local communities. Proceeds from this virtual 5k will be going towards scholarships for deserving young men and women that wish to pursue a career in Law Enforcement by attending law enforcement academies.
The scholarships will be named after two local fallen Brothers, Brad Murray and Mike Wilson. We hope that their great spirit and love for helping their fellow man be carried on in the hearts of the young recipients.
