Over the last 4 years I have tried several different methods to fundraise for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. I’ve asked, begged, & pleaded for donations via facebook, Instagram, & twitter, I’ve hosted student faculty basketball games, sold 40 gallons of pickles, offered giveaways, ran in wings & a skirt, I even taught a tap dance class once. All of that has led me to raising almost $12,000 since April 2012.

I have run in races across the country in an effort to raise funds to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This is your chance to run to help benefit those who work tirelessly to help children as they battle for their lives. There is truly no place like St. Jude. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. This is done in large part due to fundraising events such as this.

St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. I won’t stop fundraising until this happens either. The “Red Ranger Run Virtual 5k” is a simple concept. All across the country runners/walkers/joggers/crawlers will dawn their red apparel and run for the children being treated at St. Jude. In return you will receive a medal to wear proudly around your neck or display on your wall. You will also take with you the knowledge that you are helping something incredible happen in the lives of children and families all across the globe. Stand up to defeat Childhood Cancers and Run Red for St. Jude!

Incentives? Of course there are prizes!
First and foremost you will get this awesome red ranger helmet medal! Complete with glitter and shine it’ll bring some character to your medal display.

Secondly, every race entry will automatically enter you in a drawing for a chance to win your choice of a red Sparkle Athletic visor or running skirt (see below)! There will be 2 winners!

As an added bonus, if 100 runners register to take part in the Red Ranger Run I am going to run the St. Jude Memphis Marathon in December dressed as the Red Power Ranger! Registration for this virtual race will close October 20, 2015. Medals will be shipped to within 45 days of this close date.
