You are invited to the Fifth Annual Rockin' Run & Roll for a Rockin' Good Time!
This inclusive event is open to all with the goal of getting people from all ages and ability levels to participate and have fun. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite rock and roll accessories. The flat, fast 3.1 mile race is well marked with water stations along the route. This is a recreational running event for runners, wheelchair racers, and walkers of all abilities. This event will be held on Jan. 13 and will commence at 8 a.m. The race will take place on the grounds of the Morgan Family Community Center, Butler Park, and Heron Creek Middle School. The course will be coned off through the parking lots and roadways of the center and park. Runners will begin arriving on location approximately one and a half hours prior to the start of the race. Registration and post-race ceremonies will take place at the Morgan Family Community Center and adjacent open spaces.
Race packet bags, shirts & participation medals guaranteed for the first 200 combined entrants.
Entry Fee : $30 through 1/12/23; $35 day of race.
A portion of the proceeds help fund the Parks & Recreation Youth Scholarship Program, providing youth age 17 years and under from income eligible families with exposure to positive recreation experiences that promote physical, mental and social well-being
Packet Pick up: Participants pre-registered before Jan. 9 can pick up race packets at the Morgan Family Community Center on Jan. 12, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Awards Ceremony: Awards will be presented immediately following the race to the top male finisher and top female finisher in the following categories; Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Master, Veterans, Overall Push Rim, and Best Dressed Dog. Age group awards will be given to the top male and female finishers. Additionally, there will be an award for team/organization with the most participants registered. We will have a new award this year for the Best Dressed Dog!
