First Gen 5K

Join us on August 8th at 8:00 AM at Baseline Road Trailhead for the 2nd Annual First Gen 5K, a community-driven race created to celebrate and support first-generation students.

More than just a race, the First Gen 5K brings together runners, students, families, local businesses, and community members through health, opportunity, and connection.

Whether you’re chasing a PR, running with friends, or simply coming out to be part of the community, this race is for everyone. With chip timing, finisher medals, music, race-day photos, awards, refreshments, and a great race-day atmosphere, we’re excited to bring everyone together for another year.

Overall Awards
The overall male winner and overall female winner will each receive a $50 Fit2Run gift card.

The 2nd and 3rd place overall male and female finishers will also receive prizes.

Masters Awards (40+)
Awards will be presented to the male and female Masters winners, as well as the male and female Masters runner-ups.

Every step supports our mission of creating opportunity and bringing the community together.

Proceeds from this event will support the First Generation Foundation, the Vida Valiente Foundation, and local initiatives benefiting first-generation students in our community.
