Description

About Hope & Justice Foundation

Hello, my name is Anna Alves-Lazaro, and I am the CEO and Founder of the Hope & Justice Foundation. Today, I want to share with you the story of how this organization came to be, and invite you to join us in our 5K Run / Walk to Stop Domestic Violence.

As a survivor of domestic abuse myself, I understand all too well the pain, fear, and isolation that comes with experiencing this kind of violence. When I finally found the strength to leave my abuser and rebuild my life, I knew that I wanted to do something to help others who were going through what I had been through.

That's why I founded the Hope & Justice Foundation. Our mission is to provide support, resources, and education to survivors of domestic violence, and to work towards a future where no one has to live in fear of their partner.

One of the ways we raise awareness and funds for our cause is through our annual 5K Run / Walk to Stop Domestic Violence. This event brings together individuals and families from all walks of life to show their support for survivors and to help us raise money for our projects.

All proceeds raised from the 5k, after paying expenses, will be used in full for our Hope & Justice Foundation projects. These include providing emergency shelter and counseling services to survivors, running educational workshops to prevent violence before it starts, and advocating for policy changes that will protect survivors and hold abusers accountable for their actions.

So, whether you are a survivor yourself, know someone who has been affected by domestic violence, or simply want to help make a difference in your community, I invite you to join us for the 5K Run / Walk to Stop Domestic Violence. Together, we can create a future where everyone can live free from fear and violence.

Additionally, if you register for the 5K Run / Walk and pay the registration fee, you will also be eligible for a tax exemption under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This means that your contribution to our cause is tax-deductible, and you will receive a receipt for your donation. Join us in the fight against domestic violence while also benefiting from this tax exemption.

Thank you for your support, and I hope to see you there.

Sincerely,
Anna Alves-Lazaro
