EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join the Knights of Columbus 3rd Annual Laps for Life (L4L) event. This chip measured run/walk event provides all registered participants with a finisher medal upon completion of the event. Awards will be available for the Top 3 Laps completed in three age groups: under 18, 18-54, and 55 and over. The event is free for participants 12 & under who pre-register with each paid accompanying adult participant.

Non-participants are welcome to observe from the stadium stands or plaza area, but only participants with credentials will be allowed onto the track.
TEE SHIRTS
Early Bird pre-registrations receive T-shirts at the event. Shirts are guaranteed for all pre-registered participants that raise $50.00 or more. Shirts not guaranteed on event day.
SCORING
Laps will be scored with a disposable chip provided, which will be attached to the bib.
AWARDS
Awards will be available for the Top 3 Laps Completed for individuals in three age groups: under 20, 20-54, and 55 and over. Team awards will also be presented based on affiliated participants’ completed laps. Awards will also be presented for most funds raised for L4L donations.
PACKET PICK-UP & REGISTRATION
Packet pickup will be available only on event day starting at 7:00 AM.

PARKING
The Laps for Life event is held on the track at Bishop Moore High School’s football stadium. Parking is plentiful on the Bishop Moore grounds adjacent to the football stadium.

When and where does the event take place?
Saturday April 16, 2016. The event is at Bishop Moore High School.
How long is the course?
Each lap is on the ¼ mile track at the stadium.
How will I be timed?
The event uses an electronic timing system that records event time and place via a disposable transponder chip that will be given provided with each pre-registration packet or race day registrations. Each individual participating in the event is required to use the official chip. Official laps will not be recorded without a chip. There will be a status board at the track to view participants’ completed laps.
When and where do I pick up my registration materials?
Pre-Registration starts at 7am for all participants and will take place at the stadium entrance plaza.
How will I receive my results?
Official results are posted for the top participants in the categories awards. Event track management staff members have all results for on-site inquiries and results are posted on www.run4acause.org
Can I use my own race chip or tag rather than utilizing the one that is provided?
No, personalized chips will be provided to each participant.
Who gets a T-shirt?
Only pre-registered participants that successfully complete the registration and payment processes before the event are guaranteed a free Laps for Life t-shirt if they raise $50.00 or more.
Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sorry, no pets will be allowed on the track.
Can I participate with a stroller?
Yes, nurturing future generations of participating donors is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special.
What do I do with my personal items while I’m participating?
Since parking is adjacent to the stadium, we recommend you carry your personal items, or leave them in your vehicle or with a non-participating trusted observer in the stadium area outside the track area.
Should I bring my own water?
You can, but there will be available water stations on and near the course.
How do I register?
You may register online (preferred method) or register the day of the event via a paper application.
I will be out of town on event day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your event registration but we are unable to issue refunds. We appreciate your donation to our cause.
Will the event be held if it's raining?
The Laps for Life event is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat, or using an umbrella.
What will be provided after the event?
Age Group Awards for most Laps Completed and most donations. Food will be available at the stadium concession stand and at vendors in the exposition area.
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
Yes, you can transfer, but there is a $5.00 transfer fee.
Where do I park?
Free parking is available near the stadium.
